WendQ started with a simple frustration: planning a trip means 47 open tabs, viral videos of places that disappoint in person, and hours of research that still misses the spots locals love.
We believe you should go where you've always dreamed — the Eiffel Tower, Santorini, Mount Fuji — and experience those places the way people who live there do: the quiet lane before the crowds arrive, the trattoria without a queue, the viewpoint two minutes past the tour-bus stop.
Browse hundreds of destinations through beautiful photography. Tap one, and WendQ finds its hidden gems — each with the reason it's special and a local tip. Then it builds your whole trip: day by day, on a map, with must-sees anchored, quieter finds woven between them, where to stay away from the crowds, and how to get from place to place.
Every plan is tuned to how you travel — solo, as a couple, with friends, or the whole family — because the same city is a different trip for each. And it works close to home too: switch to Near me and find beautiful weekend spots wherever you are.
Our most-loved destinations have photography chosen by hand, frame by frame; the rest are matched to tightly written searches we tune ourselves. If an image doesn't match the place, we fix it — travelers tell us, and we do. The one-line introduction on every destination is written by hand. Itineraries are drafted by our planning technology and bounded by hard rules: real places only, never filler, and a verify-on-Google-Maps link on every single stop so you can check hours and location before you go. Traveler suggestions are reviewed by us before anything goes live.
Honesty first. If we can't find real hidden gems for a place, we say so — we never show filler. Real destinations, real places, real tips. When something's wrong, tell us — there's a suggest-a-gem button under every feed and a contact form in the app, and we fix what you flag.
Open to explore. Discovering places and reading their gems will always need no card and no signup — that is the whole point of WendQ, and it is not going behind a paywall. Building trips is open to everyone today too; when WendQ+ arrives it will add depth for people who plan a lot — the full curated library, and more of the planning tools — not lock up the discovery.
No ads. No trackers following you around the internet, and no sponsored places sneaking into your itinerary.
WendQ is a small, independent product — built by travelers, for travelers. We're just getting started.
